Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho will allow forward, Anthony Martial leave Old Trafford this summer only if he land a high-quality replacement for the France international.
According to The Telegraph, UK, Mourinho will let Martial leave United only if he lands either Real Madrid winger, Gareth Bale or Chelsea forward, Willian.
It claimed that Mourinho and United’s hierarchy are reluctant to sell the 22-year-old to a Premier League rival, which could ruin their hopes of landing Willian if they will not permit Martial to go the other way.
Martial’s agent, Philippe Lamboley, dropped a bombshell on Wednesday night when he confirmed that his client was disillusioned with life at United and would look to leave the Old Trafford club this summer.
“They want to extend [Martial’s contract] and do not want him to leave but we do not find agreement for several months, “Lamboley told RMC
“I think that when Manchester United, which is the most powerful club in the world, does not find an agreement in eight months of negotiations, it is that it does not really want to make him an important player.”
